Description
Intermediate / CGC Class
This is the next step after Beginners Obedience. It will polish skills you and your dog have learned such as proper heeling position, strait sits, attention, figure-8 heeling patterns and more successful sit and down stays with distractions. There will be more social skills taught which will lead to a testing for CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification. These skills include greeting, grooming and inspection of the dog's paws and mouth by someone other than the dog's handler. On the 6th week of the course there will be an AKC approved CGC evaluator administering the CGC test for all dogs in the class. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. This is a high-quality certificate in the same format as other AKC certificates and the CGC logo is embossed in gold at the bottom. The new official CGC certificate is very attractive and is suitable for framing.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ALSO BRING THE FIRST NIGHT OF CLASS:
A CURRENT VACCINATION RECORD AND PROOF OF A NEGATIVE FECAL SAMPLE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE START OF CLASS. THIS IS FOR DOG'S WHO DID NOT TRAIN WITH US IN OUR LAST SESSION ONLY.
IF YOU ARE COMING BACK TO A NEW CLASS AFTER LAST SESSION A NEW FECAL IS NOT REQUIRED.
