SOME BREEDS SUCH AS TOYS, SOME NON-SPORTING AND SOME HOUNDS NEED TO BE TABLED FOR THE JUDGE'S INSPECTION. METHODS OF PRESENTING EACH BREED AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PRESENT EACH DOG ARE EXPLORED.
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF CONFORMATION IS OUR YOUNG PEOPLE LEARNING THE SKILLS, DISCIPLINE AND SPORTSMANSHIP AS LIFE LESSONS WHILE LEARNING TO PRESENT THEIR DOGS IN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AND 4-H. SPECIAL CARE IS GIVEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE LEARNING THESE VALUABLE LESSONS.
IT'S IMPORTANT TO PRESENT DOGS IN THE SHOW RING IN A WAY THAT JUDGING THEM IS ON AN EQUAL BASIS FOR ALL DOGS BEING SHOWN. PROPER TRAINING OF PUPPIES AT A YOUNG AGE AS WELL AS ADULT DOGS ENABLES OWNER/HANDLERS TO HAVE AN EQUAL COMPETITION LEVEL WITH ALL OTHER EXHIBITORS.

Above Introducing Littermates - NEW Champions "Homer and Trixi" Homer is CH Foxshire & Valdon's Three Run Homer. Bred, owned and shown by Jeff & Sarah Kittner and Co-Bred by Joan Krumm. Homer finished his Championship at 7 1/2 months in 3 weekends out. He finished with a 5 and two 4 point majors. All his majors were won by going Best of Breed over 4 Specials each time. He is currently #12 in Breed Standings and needs 2 points for his Grand. Pretty good for a 10 month old puppy. Homer's sister - "Trixi" is CH Foxshire & Valdon's Hat Trick. Trixi finished at 8 1/2 months old with a 5 and a 3 point major along with 2 major Reserves. Trixi is waiting in the wings to start on her Grand. Best day was when they both earned their 5 point major - Homer was Best of Breed and Trixi was Best of Opposite Sex, from the classes over 4 Specials by respected Toy judge, Jason Hoke. |
